The Earth Hell Band - Witches on Holiday (1986)

Very strange dark industrial experimental offerings from the Washington DC area. This record brings to mind Factrix, and early Current 93. Released on Outside Records after the demise of the awesome noise-punk band Nuclear Crayons.

  1. Wow! No words – really – to express my joy for seeing this record finally uploaded. The Earth Hell Band album has been on my top list for a long time, so endless thanks for posting it.

At this very moment I am listening to it and digging it a lot, although I must confess it has a very different approach – and sound! – to The Nuclear Crayons. That said, what a creative and inspiring pair were Lynch & Drake – DC underground music scene should be proud of them! By the way, did you know this is the only record that the legendary Don Zientara plays in?

As you seem to be a Nuclear Crayons fan, maybe you will be interested in an interview with Lynch I did for the Making Waves fanzine. You can check it out here:

Hats off and kudos for your brilliant blog.

  2. Never heard this before. Great find! Thanks.
